Due to the curt argument over the choice of the christening names it will be remembered that another christening had been the cause of a glowing Georgian, royal disagreement — over the choice of godparents of Prince George William, son of the future George II , no accounts survive that describe the baby Princess Victoria on the occasion of her baptism, as if the disagreement itself took centre stage as opposed to the child.
